Communities Mental Health & Wellbeing Fund

Years 5 & 6 - NOW OPEN

The Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund for Adults was established in October 2021 and to date has distributed around £66 million to community initiatives supporting mental health & wellbeing across Scotland. Funding for a fifth & sixth year (£15 million each year) was announced by the Scottish Government in March 2025.

Grants of up to £15,000 are available for community based projects which promote and develop good mental health and wellbeing within the adult population in East Dunbartonshire. The Fund is especially interested in hearing from grassroots groups which provide opportunities for people to connect with each other, as well as projects which provide practical support for people who have experienced distress, disadvantage or isolation.

Years 5 & 6 are part of the Scottish Government’s Fair Funding Pilot, so for the first time organisations can apply for 2 years funding rather than just one.

There are 2 funds available:

A main grants fund where groups can apply for up to £15,000 per year with the option of requesting 2 years funding.

A small grants fund, predominantly aimed at smaller groups where you can apply for up to £2,000 for one year.

Opens to applications on the 1st of September 2025

Closes 2pm on Friday the 10th of October 2025

Please read the Year 5 Guidance Notes below prior to applying

We had a total of £544,127 funding requested, which unfortunately meant the panel had to make some very difficult decisions on who to award funding to. EDVA appreciate all the time spent by organisations on completing the application.
